Riverwood RVs started in Washburn, N.D. in conjunction with Riverwood Autos, at that time they were the Dodge – Chrysler – Plymouth dealer. The Fleetwood lines of Wilderness Towables & Resort were the main lines sold. In 1984 Motor Homes made by Georgie Boy were added to the inventory and we moved to a new location on Twin City Drive in Mandan, N.D. .... Mandan is a sister city to Bismarck, N.D. the Capitol City of North Dakota… which is just across the Missouri River, both located on I-94 in the center of the State of North Dakota. At this time Tom went to work for Herb Neukircher as a salesman. After many years of selling and another move to the Strip in Mandan, Tom & Cherie worked out a deal with Herb to purchase 50% of the business. After 5 years of Partnership the balance of the business was purchases from Herb. In 2005, Tom & Cherie purchased a new piece of property on the West End of The Strip in Mandan. In may of 2006 our new location and building became a reality with expanded parts and service… which is a very strong emphasis on Tom’s part & has helped in the growth and expansion of the business. After the new location was complete, the move was over… it was time to not only stock the new Inventory but also hire new Employees, to cover the huge new corral of Inventory displayed both indoors and out on the newly expanded lot. The new Employees have maintained the professionalism in sales and service that Riverwood RVs is known for. Tom also needed to re-look at our inventory of travel trailers and fifth wheels, with the question being: Should we look into adding other manufacturers for entry level coaches? The choice was made to stay primarily with K-Z Manufacturing because of the high quality and broad selection of models they offer. One statement Tom feels fitting in the R.V. industry is “The sweet taste of price doesn’t last as long as the sour taste of poor quality or service.” You can feel very confident you will be very satisfied after your purchase.
